The Open Studios Weekender will also see the launch of the publication ‘Conscious Coupling’, the result of a writing residency that paired four artists from TRS with writers from the Double Negative online magazine. Developed over a four month period in early 2016, ‘Conscious Coupling’ presents in-depth reflections on the artists’ practices outside of the boundary of the gallery and critical review.
The publication features the couples; Jack Welsh and Grace Harrison, James Harper and Tom Emery, Becky Peach and Jade French, Laurence Payout and Lara Eggleton, designed and printed by Mark Simmonds.
