Headstrong, Philip Garrett
A solo exhibition by Philip Garrett showcasing recent portrait sculpture, drawings and paintings. Subjects depicted are of people in the community and figures from history worth remembering and celebrating in sculpture.
Using a traditional approach, the work aims to reclaim art as an expressive medium for today’s creative concerns and social struggles. Working directly from life, social observation and taking imaginative inspiration that arises from these interactions. It is a body of work that that uses portraiture as its main subject matter.
Opportunities for schools and art groups to explore the stories behind the images and to participate in free drawing workshops will be available on request. For further details and times please contact Phil on 07904 528 772 or email info@philipgarrett.co.uk
