Venue: Williamson Art Gallery & Museum
TIME TO SKETCH AND EXPERIMENT WITH DRAWING IN CONVIVIAL SURROUNDINGS WITH LIKE-MINDED FOLKS AT THE WILLIAMSON AT THE SKETCHER’S ARMS.
Bring your sketchbooks or drawing boards and materials for an evening drawing suitable for people of all abilities, from absolute beginner to sketching master. Each month, we select a different gallery to base the group in with arrangements of selected artefacts up from the store or items already on show from the collection.
The Williamson Cafe will be open from 6pm for food, if you want to eat before the group starts at 7pm. There will also be soup and the usual sandwiches and/or pick ‘n’ mix offer plus hot drinks. Please note that the cafe takes cash only. The bar and food will be available until 8.30pm and while stocks last.
Artfix, the independent art supply shop in our foyer has samples of art materials for you to try out if you’ve not used them before.
We are experimenting with developing our two Thursday evenings when we already have groups using the gallery as a meeting venue (1st and 3rd Thursday of the month) to develop new evening activities. Please be considerate of our neighbours when parking (our car park can get filled quickly), alternatively carpool with friends, use public transport or walk if you are able.
