Film Screening: ‘The Creative Process’ – Art is all around us.
West Kirby Arts Centre is proud to present a screening of ‘The Creative Process’ on June 16th from 7pm.
We see it in galleries and museums, in bookshops and at the cinema, at home, at work – anywhere and everywhere. But what drives someone to create? What are the stories behind the artwork?
The Creative Process interviews fourteen Merseyside artists – painters and photographers, sketchers and sculptors, each with their own compelling stories – and investigates the highly subjective nature of their creativity.
We ask them to explore their artistic journeys – uncovering the varying and extremely personal idiosyncrasies of each individual. We will see how emotionally charged the creation of art is – that the methods and styles of each artist are linked with deeply important people in their lives, powerful moments in their memories, or an overwhelming sense of art and creation being a home for them.”
The Creative Process screens at West Kirby Arts Centre on June 16th with doors opening at 7pm for a 7:30 start.
Tickets: £3 on the door and online via wirralartscentre.org
