TONIGHT —
OPEN ROOMS #8: PHOTOGRAPHY & RACIALISATION
Tonight 9th July, 6-7 BST. Livestreamed to twitch.tv/openeyegallery/
Photography is not innocent.
Yasmin Gunaratnam, Ali Eisa and Daniel C. Blight go in-conversation to talk about the role photography plays in the ongoing racialisation of people, in the UK and worldwide.
The conversation will revolve around an image submitted by each participant, with an accompanying question. The above image was submitted by Yasmin Gunaratnam, with the question: ‘how heavy is whiteness?’.
All welcome, join the conversation over on our Discord.
