This session takes the art of cut and paste to another level! If you have attended Cut It Out – Collage Workshop Part 1, then this is the next step to build on those skills and learn how to use more advanced equipment and techniques.

Artist Catherine Rogers, of Cut Out Collage, will guide you through exercises and technique demonstrations to introduce you to working with a scalpel, learning skills for creating impressively detailed collage pieces. Not only will you learn the skills to create intricate designs, but you will learn how to secure them to the page without glue stains or page tears giving you a professional finish.

Throughout the workshop Catherine will introduce you to relevant collage artists, showing you the amazing variety of detailed historical and contemporary collage out there to be inspired by.

You will have your own workstation with scalpel handle, blades, cutting mat, extensive range of source material, various adhesives and a variety of additional art materials such as paints and pens. Coffee, tea & biscuits will also be provided throughout the session ready for whenever you wish to take a break or chat to your fellow collagears!

Your final design(s) will likely end up framed and on your wall at home or given as a gift to a friend. You’ll be impressed with the results for sure!

If you are interested in attending Cut It Out – Collage Workshop Part 2 but haven’t attended Part 1 consider buying a ticket to both! Spend a whole day honing your collage skills and confidence, there’s no better way to spend a Saturday!

All materials, hand sanitiser and refreshments are provided and included in your ticket price. To adhere to government guidelines regarding Covid-19, social distancing practices are in place with every attendee having their own equipment which is sanitised before the session. Staff handling food or equipment will be washing and sanitising their hands extremely regularly and ensuring that individuals are assigned to certain items to reduce the amount of contact between people. Toilets on site are also regularly cleaned and sanitised during the session to ensure safety and peace of mind.
