The Gallery is relaunching with a music themed exhibition by artist and Curator Alex Corina.

The Gallery reopened at the weekend but has its official Re-launch is on Thursday 15th December from 5pm till 9pm, with an exhibition of recent work by Liverpool artist Alex Corina – ‘The Liverpool Philharmonic meets Black Dyke Mills Brass band’ combining violins and brass musical instruments to create luminous wall pieces that reconstruct and recycles musical instruments and furniture.

Recycling is a recurrent theme in Alex’s work. His work derives from reclaiming and up-cycling materials that include drinks cans, old galvanised dustbins. Scrap metal, and salvaged musical instruments (often from school music services) they included violins tubas trumpets trombones and more.

In this Exhibition Alex Corina has created stunning luminous wall sculptures and sculptures that combine the destruction and reconstruction of furniture and musical instruments.

The Gallery also include work by recycling artists Ian Taylor Artist/Wood Turner Mike Rule, Box Maker Steve Porter.
