Independents Biennial 2018: Open planning meeting
Make. North Docks
27.03.2018
6-8pm
RSVP essential: here
Art in Liverpool are running the fringe to Liverpool Biennial 2018, and there are exciting opportunities for artists, galleries and groups to get involved with.
Our main hope is to develop a festival that celebrates the independent creative communities that exist around the region, in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens, and The Wirral.
We’ll be using this meeting to announce some of our news around commissions, and exhibition opportunites, as well as some of the main themes keeping the festival together. Each council in the region has its own naturally occuring themes, and unique identity, and we want to give equal volume to all their voices.
And as with all our meetings, it’s a chance for frank and honest feedback to the festival’s leaders, from artists, public, galleries and organisers, which we’ll use to help us shape a festival, for independents, by independents.

If the fringe to one of the world’s biggest festivals of contemporary art wasn’t enough…
The first copies of issue #2 of Art in Liverpool Magazine will be handed out at the meeting too, so its a chance to be the first to see our adventorous new publication before anyone else.
