BRITTANY KEFIRA OF NOCTUA RETURNS TO THE WILLIAMSON ART GALLERY FOR A WORKSHOP TO MAKE SPINNER RINGS FROM SILVER.
Create a ring that is as fun to fidget with, as it is to make in a 4 hour silversmithing workshop from 13.15 to 16.30pm on the afternoon of March 25th.
Each participant will create a ring using solid sterling silver with optional gemstones and mixed metals. Make this ring unique using a range of texturing hammers, natural coloured gemstones, and a range of patterned wire.
Initially to create a spinning ring, a wide band is made using thick silver sheet which is then added to with the spinning rings, and then edges are flared to lock the inner rings, allowing them to spin freely.
This is a beginner to intermediate class, no previous experience required.
Cost is £110 (with a £10 discount for any previous workshop participants. Please contact Noctua directly for your code). To book or to ask any questions regarding this course, please email brittanykefira@icloud.com or book through her website.
Your friendly tutors, Britt and Andrew will be on hand at all times during the workshop to closely guide you and the other participants through each step, ensuring each person makes their own ring(s) entirely by themselves.
The silver used in the class is 925 Solid Sterling Silver which has been used for hundreds of years. This is a very hands-on class. If you normally wear glasses for reading, we recommend you bring these. Please wear old clothes and closed-toed shoes. Long hair must also be tied back. We currently have no strict age limit on classes but please email us before booking a space for anyone under the age of 16 just to confirm this with us.
