Freya Levy is a Liverpool based mosaic artist, hugely inspired by animals and the natural world. Using tiles, glass and found items, her mosaics are vibrant and exciting and manage to capture the true essence of the animals she depicts.
For the month of April 2019, Freya has a selling exhibition of her animal themed mosaics at 92 Degrees Coffee, 24 Hardman Street, Liverpool, L1 9AX.
Freya’s Cockerel mosaic was presented as a retirement gift to Monsignor Charles Burns, a Major Canon of St Peter’s Basilica in Rome and the former Archivist of the Vatican Secret Archives. Freya was also commissioned to make her Fox in Flowers mosaic by Christopher Andreae, Art Historian, Art collector and Author.
Freya has produced a collection of greetings cards, prints, cushions and other stationery items featuring images of her mosaics. Her products are available at the Arts Hub 47; News from Nowhere and the Victoria Gallery in Liverpool and in Once Upon a Tide, New Brighton; Seagrass Studio Gallery, West Kirby and the Williamson Gallery, Birkenhead. They are also sold in various shops in London, Edinburgh and Cambridge. Freya will be selling greetings cards in 92 Degrees café for the duration of her exhibition.
Freya gains much satisfaction out of producing her joyful, colourful mosaics and her aim is that this joy is reflected in her pieces and shared by all those who engage with her work.
