Change it up this year for Mothers Day. Everyone is going to buy that overpriced, generic, exfoliating, rejuvenating, invigorating, anti-aging cream. Why not trade up from the traditional and spend the day having afternoon tea, cross stitching provocative proverbs and drinking.
Melody has taken this prim and proper artform to a new satirical level, teaching you how to make something personal and funny, but also beautiful and blunt. And a proper treat for Mother’s Day would not be complete without a sophisticated afternoon tea of finger sandwiches, pastries and a cheeky glass of fizz.
The day starts with a pot of tea, then melody will help you master the essential skills of cross stitching. Afternoon tea will be served halfway through after which you will choose from a selection, and create one of Melodys unique patterns. An introductory cross stitch kit is included in the course as well, so you can continue using your new skills after the course is finished.
During the class, you’ll learn how to do the basic stitches, how to follow a counted cross stitch pattern and to finish and hang a completed project. There will be a range of designs to choose from that come complete with an illustrated beginners guide, pattern, wooden embroidery hoop, embroidery thread, embroidery needle and cross stitch fabric.
There may be some strong language being cross stitched so we don’t recommend this class for under sixteens at parents discretion.
This is not a mother / daughter / female only affair, men are just as welcome.
