Transparency
Originally shown at Yorkshire Sculpture Park earlier this year, this exhibition explores the notion of transparency. It considers the multiple meanings of the word, such as the property of transmitting light and having clarity, through to the reflective properties of mirrored surfaces. The exhibition includes work by Christine Borland, Hannah Starkey and Wolfgang Tillmans, and considers how artists have investigated subjects such as truth to material, the everyday or ordinary, and material transparency.
