SUMMARY:Walker Art Gallery: Walker Art Gallery: Transparency
DESCRIPTION:Transparency\n\nOriginally shown at Yorkshire Sculpture Park ea

considers the multiple meanings of the word\, such as the property of tran
smitting light and having clarity\, through to the reflective properties o
f mirrored surfaces. The exhibition includes work by Christine Borland\, H
annah Starkey and Wolfgang Tillmans\, and considers how artists have inves
tigated subjects such as truth to material\, the everyday or ordinary\, an
 d material transparency.\n\nArts Council Collection\n\nTransparency is an
Arts Council Collection National Partner Exhibition. Arts Council Coll
ection is managed by Southbank Centre on behalf of Arts Council England.
