19.00 – 22.00
Camp and Furnace, Greenland Street L1 0BY
Free entry.
Aimed at Taking on Andy Warhol’s factory concept, the confluence of music, fashion and art in the Glam! era and the productive and influential nature of art schools in youth culture at that time, Tate Collective have brought together young musicians, sound artists, fashion designers and visual artists to create a spectacular event at Camp and Furnace in response to Glam! The Performance of Style at Tate Liverpool.
There will be music from the winners of the Glam! Sound Factory competition: The Oreoh’s, The Fix and Sordid Marauders who will be performing tracks inspired by the sounds and styles of the Glam! era, interspersed with sets from DJ Mr Paul. A collection of Glam! inspired costumes created by LJMU Fashion Students will also be on display in addition to the chance to have a Glam! makeover and take part in a photoshoot. As well as all this, there will be an incredible sound- and image-reflecting bouncy castle, courtesy of Fairground Frameworks.
