Mark McNulty’s book Pop Cultured is now on sale along with an exhibition of some of the photographs in Microzine on Bold St.
The exhibition runs to end of November 2008
Mark began as a jobbing photographer covering events such as the Earthbeat festivals in Sefton park, Liverpool, an annual live music event that would witness breakthrough performances from iconic artists such as The La’s and The Stone Roses.
While Britain enjoyed the ‘Second Summer of Love’ and the advent of acid house, Mark chronicled the full glory of the period in monochrome and Technicolor capturing The Farm, Echo and The Bunnymen, Cast and the legendary Liverpool dance mecca and rival to the Hacienda, Cream.
Pop Cultured also displays the current crop of Liverpool talent including The Zutons, Pop Levi, Candie Payne and Ladytron.
