The event is the launch event of Suited to your Taste’s creative website, which explores the relationship between food, taste and art; food as an exchange in both a social, cultural informative sense. The event is created by the third year Fine Art students from Liverpool Hope University.
Suited to Your Taste is a series of both public and private events exploring the relationship between food, taste and art. These will range from art material recipes to edible sculptures. Imagining the kitchen as studio, food as an exchange in both a social, cultural informative sense. Suited to Your Taste explores production and creativity across the fields of art and culinary practices. Creating a social environment for artists, designers, bakers and chefs to converse around these themes. The events will be documented over an 8 week period, culminating in a recipe book style zine, the ingredients being; transcripts of conversation, video, and photography. This project will be shared to the public at the launch event in May.
The Suited to your taste launch event for the website will be Tuesday 21st of May, from 17:00 to 19:30 at The Brink, 21 Parr Street Liverpool L1 4JN.
