SEEING WITH AN EXPERT’S EYE – WITH LIVERPOOL HOPE UNIVERSITY

Explore new ways of looking at art

Take part in a series of activities designed for visitors to become more aware of how we look at works of art. Wearing a pair of portable eye-tracking glasses, view a series of artworks in the gallery from the Tate Collection. Guided by staff from Liverpool Hope University’s Psychology Department, the glasses use a system that tracks what the viewer likes or dislikes by revealing heat maps of eye movements.

With a programme of activities and discussions exploring the different responses from the eye tracking experiments with art experts, psychologists and visual scientists.

Friday 20 March, 18.00-20.00
Seeing Art with an Expert’s Eye Symposium. Further details and book a place here.

With Dr Letizia Palumbo and Dr Neil Harrison, Psychology Department at Liverpool Hope University.
