Join ECAlab for a symposium that brings together architects, artists, industry professionals, engineers, researchers and the public to discuss emerging thinking and ceramic futures.

IVACE in collaboration with the Environmental Ceramics for Architecture Laboratory (ECALab) are pleased to present the Constructive Dialogues: Spanish Ceramics Innovation in Contextsymposium, a one day event taking place at Tate Liverpool on Saturday 29 September 2018. The symposium is presented in conjunction with PlatFORM which will take place in Tate Exchange at Tate Liverpool between 22 – 30 September.

Through speakers’ presentations and chaired discussions, we will explore a wide range of topics relating to the role of ceramics in the production of architecture, such as:

  • Innovation, sustainability and technology
  • Craft techniques and experimentation
  • Ceramics, ornament and art in architecture
  • Ceramic futures: challenges and opportunities
