Enter into The Amazing Push Poem Machine and become part of the world’s longest-running communal poem. Step up and throw a ball to get a letter then add a word beginning with that letter to the on-going poem. Work together with fellow amazing push-poets to add surreal, strange and wonderful words – all through the act of play! Take part and see how poetry can be part of the public consciousness at any time and in any place. Established 40 years ago, The Amazing Push Poem Machine was first played on Merseyside Play Action Council playschemes in 1976. Since then, The Windows Project continues to work with communities, youth centres and schools to encourage creativity through writing.
