West Kirby based painter, Derek King has developed a collection of work that reflects his interest in light, colour and change.

Primary influences are the land and sea around his homeland in south west scotland, the
ruggedness and beauty of Anglesey and the ever shifting “scapes” around Wirral. It is his close proximity to the sea that has helped define his visual vocabulary resulting in a colourful and expressive impression of the coast that is full of movement and depth.
