
Every child is an artist and dot-art’s Summer Art Club is specifically designed to help children aged between10-13 years grow their creative skills and build a lifelong love of art by exploring a range of artistic mediums, including pencil, paint, sculpture and collage.
dot-art’s Summer Art Club varies by session so that your young artists can keep coming back for more new and exciting creative adventures.

Programme
Topics will change from week to week, including creating optical illusions using pencil and paper, designing colourful monsters around famous Liverpool landmarks developing characterisation and perspective, and constructing figures from a variety of simple materials, learning proportions and dimensions.
Session 1 – Alphabet Optical Illusion Letters
Pencil drawings on paper
Session 2 – Liverpool Monsters
Designing colourful monsters and placing them in front of famous Liverpool landmarks
Session 3 – Metal Wire Figures
Constructing figures from wire, newspaper, masking tape and paint
Session 4 – Mixed Media Faces
Mixed media using collaged book pages, felt tips, stencils and colour pencils
Tutor
Brigitte Watkinson
Brigitte Watkinson is a professional artist with many years of experience teaching children and adults. She is currently developing her art practice through an MFA.
All staff are fully DBS checked and insured.
Materials
All materials will be provided. Children are welcome to bring their own snacks and drinks for the session.
Notes
We have introduced a range of safety measures to keep everyone as safe and comfortable as possible. We ask everyone to please respect social distancing guidelines, all staff will be keeping their distance too.
Regular cleaning and santizing measures will be in place.
Dress appropriately as the site can get a bit chilly when sitting still.
Accessible toilets are available.
