Remember, remember the 5th of November, that’s when Laura McCann launches her touring photography exhibition, “Performers” at Liverpool Arts Bar on Hope Street.
The project features intimate portraits of performers ranging from an actor and musician to a pole dancer and politician. The images were all taken whilst the subjects were away from the gaze of their usual audience, in a place they felt at ease. No set ups, no flash, no filters.
The photos are an attempt to show honest unedited moments that couldn’t be caught in a selfie. The aim of the project is to present something real and hopefully remind us that we are all enough as we are.
