Click here to join our Friends of Kirkby Gallery & Prescot Museum Art School mailing list – Practicing Portraits II will be delivered direct to your inbox every Wednesday morning from 6 to 27 November 2021
If you have signed up to our Practicing Portraits and other past online art courses, you will automatically receive the Practicing Portraits II sessions via email
Practicing Portraits II is aimed at a wide audience, from young artists to adults wishing to try new techniques, build confidence and develop their painting skills.
Over the 4 sessions, Gill will create a portrait of Bernie Burgon, Chef at Eastcroft Park School, showing all the stages she goes through, from preliminary sketches to a finished painting in acrylics.
Every Wednesday you will receive a Practicing Portraits II information pack via email, with a link to a film of Gill demonstrating how to capture a likeness, step by step.
She will set tasks and give you time to pause the film to try it yourself, and then pick up where you left off.
This is a free course. You don’t need any special equipment, just basic art materials, pencils, brushes and paints. We will let you know in advance if you need anything specific for the following week.
You can join in with the sessions at any time to suit you, they are simply delivered via email on Wednesday mornings for continuity.
