Locals and visitors are invited to take a wander through Kirkby and explore Kirkbyography – a visual biography of Kirkby which has been created by people with a connection to the town. The pages of a giant scrapbook combining photographs, ephemera, quotes and memories will be displayed at outdoor locations throughout the area this autumn as part of Knowsley’s Year as Liverpool City Region Borough of Culture. The Kirkbyography Explorer Trail launches on Friday 18 November 2022.

The project has collated stories, films, photographs, artwork and creative writing, and work is continuing to document Kirkbyography, the ever-changing story of Kirkby.

The Kirkbyography Explorer Trail Map is available from Friday 18 November onward from Kirkby Gallery, Kirkby Leisure Centre, Kirkby Train Station and other venues around the town.

You can download the map here.
