Join poetess Empressjai for a talk celebrating the life of community leader, feminist and British civil rights activist Olive Morris.
Olive was active in the squatters’ rights campaigns of the 1970s, as well as being a member of the British Black Panthers. She was also a founding member of the Organisation of Women of African and Asian Descent (OWAAD) and the Brixton Black Women’s Group, campaigning for Black women’s rights and a fairer society for all.
There will also be opportunity to get hands on with museum objects from our Civil Rights collections.
