This presentation and chance to ask questions gives attendees an insight into the research that informs Melanie’s practice. For this masterclass, Melanie discusses in greater detail A Machine to Unmake You (M2UY) (2019-2024), a new artwork produced in collaboration with imprisoned veterans at HMP Altcourse in Liverpool. The work is part of a new exhibition at FACT titled On the other side (on display from 1 March until 2 June 2024).
This masterclass takes place in The Box on the Ground Floor. Join us in Studio/Lab afterwards for a tour of the space, refreshments and informal discussion.
It’s important to us that everybody feels they are able to access our programme. If you would like to attend the masterclass but are unable to pay the admission fee, email us at residency@fact.co.uk.
