 tist working with video\, performance\, social engagement and emerging tec
 hnologies. Melanie often works collaboratively\, experimenting with differ
 ent forms of participatory narrative\, framing the imagination as a politi
 cal space\, and storytelling as a means to access that space.\n\n\n\n\n\n\
 n\n\n\nThis presentation and chance to ask questions gives attendees an in
 sight into the research that informs Melanie’s practice. For this master
 class\, Melanie discusses in greater detail A Machine to Unmake You (M2UY
 ) (2019-2024)\, a new artwork produced in collaboration with imprisoned v
 eterans at HMP Altcourse in Liverpool. The work is part of a new exhibitio
 n at FACT titled On the other side (on display from 1 March until 2 June
  2024).\nThis masterclass takes place in The Box on the Ground Floor. Join
  us in Studio/Lab afterwards for a tour of the space\, refreshments and in
