Venue: Editions Ltd
Date(s): 24.11.20 - 12.12.20
Time(s): All Day
We are delighted to show Paul Romano’s new works as part of our regular winter exhibition with him here at Editions Gallery. Romano is an established artist working in Liverpool.
He graduated in Fine Art from Wirral Metropolitan College in 1999 and his work is in many private collections both here and abroad.
Of his wonderful colourful paintings Romano says:
‘It is a perfect way for me to express sometimes what I can’t say in words’
His main influence, and one of his favourite artists which includes de Kooning and Schwitters, is Picasso:
‘Why? For me his work is a total exploitation of creative experiments and his compositions include collage which I use frequently. I love his mind set and I try to tap into it when working!’
Colour too plays a huge part of Romano’s work and so Matisse, De Stael, Miro influence him continually. He uses ephemera and objects found in daily life and which still contain fragments of colour or lettering which trigger memories or fresh happy artistic accident.
We hope you enjoy this joyful exhibition full of colour and positivity!
Paintings can be seen and purchased online here or below, or by contacting us info@editionsltd.net or by telephone 0151 236 4236.
