Nina Edge: Curtains for the Welsh Streets
Wed 21 Sep 7pm

Curtains for the Welsh Streets is a talk by artist Nina Edge reflecting on her 2006 Independents Biennial artwork Nothing is Private and her current practice, which sees her revising this work ten years on.

Edge’s practice is socially engaged and she has undertaken many longstanding collaborations with communities. Productions include bilingual advertising hoardings, radical textiles and sculptures made from cash. Her Welsh Streets project has become a long investigation into demolition and the effects of forced removals on communities.

The artist will be joined in conversation by Bluecoat’s Artistic Director Bryan Biggs.
