Meet members of Blue Room, staff and associated artists to discover how this unique project began, and future plans. What started as weekly workshops for learning disabled artists has grown a myriad of offshoots, including Out of the Blue children’s art clubs, dance programme Expanding the Picture, Studio Me, and a new project with partners at Norton Priory Museum and Gardens, Runcorn. The event features a screening of The Journey, a film to which Blue Room’s roots can be traced, made in 2003 – 04 by Leo Fitzmaurice in collaboration with some current members.

About Blue Room

Since 2008, three groups of Blue Room artists have met weekly at the gallery to explore the exhibitions and create their own artwork.
