Come and learn how to make cloth creatures from recycled clothing which you can take home and love.

You will learn the basic template for making a creature and will have access to a varied source of embellishments to make your creature unique to you.

All materials provided but feel free to bring along any materials you may want to include in your creature.

Basic hand sewing is all that is required.
Please note this is not a toy workshop and the creatures made are not suitable for children due to small parts.

Your tutor is artist Treena Markland. Treena is an artist who graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a first class honours degree in interactive arts. Her practice involves painting and sewing and she enjoys using recycled materials to make new art. She has exhibited locally, across Europe and America. Her textile book works are held at the British library, Winchester university and Bristol university special collections. She is inspired by the make do and mend principle and enjoys hand making and sewing in her art.

Class runs on Sunday 26 February from 10 till 4pm.
