The @merseyforest is working with a range of partners to deliver environmental improvements in Bidston and Birkenhead making the Wirral a better place to live and work and attracting inward investment in the Wirral Waters regeneration area in and around Birkenhead’s historic docks. They have now commissioned acclaimed regeneration photographer and blogger Len Grant to take a series of portraits of local businesses and to conduct interviews discussing amongst other subject the development of the business and business attitudes to the recent planting of over 12km of street trees in the area.

The images represent amongst others;designers, engineers, machinists, lawyers, craftsmen, and bus drivers and features many high end manufacturers many of which are linked closely to a continuing trade around the docks, infrastructure and transportation industries.

Len Grant’s unique style of interviewing and close eye for capturing the human angle of industry is borne out in this fascinating exhibition and accompanying newspaper available at the exhibition.
