Eamon Maher and Eugene O’Brien (eds.) From Prosperity to Austerity: a socio-cultural critique of the Celtic Tiger and its aftermath (2014). The book will be launched by Professor Shaun Richards, Professorial Research Fellow in Irish Studies at St Mary’s University, Twickenham, and co-author, with Chris Morash, of Mapping Irish Theatre: Theories of Space and Place (Cambridge University Press, 2013).

7.30pm – Introductory lecture: Dr. Lauren Arrington

8pm – Rehearsed reading of Bernard Shaw’s O’Flaherty VC (1904). Director: Professor Victor Merriman, Edge Hill University.
