Nature Works is a new exhibition by wildlife artist, Clare Shaughnessy.
Wildlife is beautiful and I enjoy being able to create this with simple but elegant composition using pencil, watercolour and acrylics. All my efforts are concentrated on producing rich soft textures. Fur that one could bury ones hand in, feathers that look lighter than air, a glassiness and depth to an eye.
If a viewer is drawn into a painted image hopefully it feels like a relationship with the animal has begun.
