In this new series of paintings, Nicky Higgs, a Wirral based artist, has worked from photos taken on walks both locally and on holiday in
West Wales and Scotland. She has become preoccupied with capturing the effects of those fleeting moments of sunlight between clouds-the changing strength of colours and contrasts of tone and texture.
