‘Tim’ tells the story of what happened after the IRA bomb attack on Warrington in 1993. Tim Parry was the innocent 12-year-old lad who died five days after the blast from severe injuries.

Steve Regan’s play goes to the heart of what it means to lose a beloved child in a barbaric attack. It is a strongly emotional work, based on the much-praised memoir of Tim’s father and peace campaigner Colin Parry.

Colin – after his son’s death – took the extraordinary step of meeting the IRA and leading politicians in Britain and Ireland, as well as supporters of the IRA in the USA.  That journey led ultimately to the Good Friday Agreement which brought relative peace, dialogue and power-sharing to Northern Ireland .

The play has a message of hope for humanity that rings loud and clear for a world currently stalked by horrific terror attacks of a different ideological perspective to those which which rocked our country in the 1990s.
