An exhibition of embroidered postcards created by the people of Merseyside, inspired by those sent from the front during the First World War.
Up For Crafts have invited people from across Merseyside to create an embroidered postcard to mark the Centenary of the First World War. Inspired by silk postcards sent by soldiers from the front to their loved ones during the war, local people have used their craft skills to create unique and heartfelt pieces. In partnership with Merseyside at War, a collection of original postcards will also be displayed. The project has invited local people to contribute family stories and artefacts to a growing online archive of memories.
