This beautiful historic building provides the most majestic setting for our first concert of the season. The 18th Century Sinfonia playing on period instruments join with the LWC to present Handel’s Dixit Dominus, Jeremiah Clarke’s Trumpet Suite and Vivaldi’s ever-popular Gloria.

Your festive preparations would not be complete without a visit to the Philharmonic Hall to hear the well-loved combination of the LWC, the Northop Silver Band and Our Lady’s Bishop Eton School Choir. The evening will be presented by Merseyside’s very own Roger Phillips and joined by mezzo-soprano Jennifer Johnston. Sit back and be entertained!

Joining the LWC to perform this classic oratorio will be soprano Camilla Roberts, tenor Rhys Meirion and bass-baritone D’Arcy Bleiker. Be enthralled by The Heavens are Telling, Achieved is the Glorious Work, With Verdure Clad, Roaming in Foaming Billows and other fine choruses and arias. Another opportunity to hear The 18th Century Sinfonia playing on period instruments.
