16 May 2014
20.00 – late
Part of Light Night 2014
Make Your Mark is about making a stand, having a go and being bold, underpinned with positive passion and being visible amongst others.
Multi-diverse practicing artists and performers who work with groups from a wide background will work alongside one another and share the evening giving all the opportunity to connect and showcase work collectively for Liverpool Light Night. The collaborations will take place both inside and outside of the venue in the form of fine art (creative recovery service users exhibition curated by Leon Jakeman), performance organised by host Nikki Blaze – featuring Writing on the Wall guests – written/spoken word, poetry, singing and hip-hop – with another element of a live graffiti event by Zap Graffiti Arts.
The evening will finish off with a DJ where all unite. Make your Mark‘s common thread is to demonstrate creative talent, the bringing together of people in celebration using the various processes as a tool to explore and challenge fear… From the unselfconscious celebration, the seeds of creativity are sown to promote well-being and unity.
Make your Mark is a Space13 production.
