Directed by Mark Till, MYTHS is The Annexe Writers’ fourth night of new theatre in the city and their biggest and most ambitious yet. The young writers unleash the full force of their imaginations in five unique plays – from a girl stitching wings to a boy’s back so he can fly, to a town living in fear of sinister creatures known as Dogheads – performed by emerging local actors and scored by musician Matthew James Arnold, to create an exceptional evening’s entertainment.

With plays by Laura Kate Barrow (who has just been selected for this year’s 24/7 Festival), Katharine Boon, David Cox, Katy Owens and Mark Pajak.

Formed in 2012, The Annexe Writers is a group of 11 graduates of the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse Young Writers Programme. Uniting the city’s burgeoning acting, writing and directing talent, The Annexe Writers aim to produce bold, exciting and affordable theatre for the people of Liverpool.
