Domino Gallery: dot-art Teachers Networking Event

dot-art-Schools-Exhibition-Flyer-Front17 July

17.00 – 19.00

Free

At the event you will be able view the current exhibition of student work, network with fellow art teachers from across the area and find out more about the dot-art Schools Programme; an interactive, online, inter-school art competition for Year 6 and Year 9 students.

Domino Gallery will be hosting the exhibition marking the culmination of the pilot year of the scheme; featuring works from over 20 schools and almost 60 students. You will have the opportunity to view the fantastic winning artworks over a glass of wine, and speak to the organisers about how this innovative programme works and how your school can get involved.

Who should attend:

Headteachers, Deputy Headteachers, Heads of Art and Design, Arts Coodinators and similar, from both Primary and Secondary schools across the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Sefton, Wirral, St Helens, Knowsley and Halton)

Why should you attend:

  • A chance to network with fellow Art Teachers from across the Region, to discuss programming, ideas, leveling, curriculum etc.
  • The opportunity to see work created by students from 20 different schools.
  • Find out how the programme can help meet many KS2 and KS3 National Curriculum requirements, the criteria outlined in the OFSTED evaluation framework, as well as schools working towards Artsmark status.

The dot-art Schools programme has the full support of Arts Council England, Liverpool City Council, St Helens Council, Curious Minds and City Central BID. It aims to nurture talent, raise ambition, and build and promote interest in the arts and is very simple for teachers to implement!

Domino Gallery, 11 Upper Newington, Liverpool City Centre (just off Renshaw Street)
