Collaborative Animation/Drawing workshop at Metal

5947002_orig8 August

14.00 onwards

Free

Artist-in-residence at Metal, Anna Mulhearn is currently producing a large collaborative project for a residency that was awarded as part of the 2012 Liverpool Art Prize. The project aims to include as many of Metal’s visitors and affiliates as possible to produce an animation that is based on the history of Edge Hill station (the oldest functioning passenger railway station in the world) and the famous Liverpool/Manchester railway where Stephenson’s Rocket won the Rainhill trials. In various open workshops, the frames of a video of the journey from Lime Street to Manchester Victoria will be reproduced and put together to create an animation produced by the ‘Metal Community’.

Come to Metal, Edge Hill Station, on Thursday 8th August from 14.00 and take part in this ambitious project.  There will be tea and refreshments but feel free to bring your own.

Anyone of any ability can come, you don’t have to have any skill whatsoever but if you do then that’s great too.
