Innovasion – The Live Action Game – Saturday 9 OctoberBeware the Innovasion is coming! Something sinister has been lurking in the shadows at the Liverpool Biennial. There have been whisperings of an imminent catastrophic event. Your job is to join the resistance and help prevent the downfall of the city. From 10am on Saturday 9th October you will invited to join an adventure through the streets of Liverpool where you will solve clues, unravel riddles, witness unexpected performances whilst taking in many of the Liverpool Biennial art works. As you get further into the story, you and your group memebers will have to make decisions which will influence the outcome of the narrative. The structure of the day will be informal depending on how you respond to your challenges, but you can expect to be excited, surprised, challenged and hopefully have a lot of fun in the process. The whole event will end in a finale at a secret location in the city. Your decisions will decide what happens. The end of the day will be an opportunity for you to meet your fellow gamers, the games masters, and all the performers involved over a glass of wine. Book your tickets now! You will then be emailed further instructions and the game begins! Produced by Hope Street Ltd. |

Upcoming Touched TalksWednesday 20 October – Franco ‘Bifo’ Berardi – 18.30 in the Biennial Visitor Centre To be touched increasingly means to be in touch. We can reach every point in the world but, more importantly, we can be reached from any point in the world. Not silence but uninterrupted noise, not the red desert, but a cognitive space overcharged with nervous incentives to act: this is the alienation of our times… Franco Berardi is a writer, media-theorist and media-activist. In this lecture he will discuss sensibility and the psychopathology implied in the connective mutation of the general intellect. What are the possibilities for a therapy that is conceived in terms of social control to become a new path of autonomisation from the capitalist domination of the mind? Wednesday 27 October – AbdouMaliq Simone – 18.30 in the Biennial Visitor Centre AbdouMaliq Simone is an urbanist and Professor of Sociology at Goldsmiths College, London. In his latest book, City Life from Djakarta to Dakar. Movements at the crossroads (2010), he describes the surprising ecologies of everyday life in some of the fastest-growing urban centres in the world. Urban development today is part of the global circulation of ideas and stories of what is possible to do in cities. In and among ducking and diving is imagination and resilience and an acute sense that difference and diversity are critical if, in future, people in cities are to thrive. |

You can read Les and Rachel’s blogs here . If you are jealous and would like a tour with Lorenzo, he is hosting a curator’s tour on 9 November (click here to book ).
