A delightful event today at METAL’s Edge Hill Station venue as they staged a Victorian style Christmas complete with period characters, brass band, mulled wine, roast chestnuts, Rebecca Joy Sharp playing seasonal tunes on the harp and Elizabeth Willow’s Magical Mysterious Mechanical Tombola.
Ooh, huge mince pies too, the Real Father Christmas, craft stalls and traditional decorations (so much nicer, I think, than a lot of contemporary bling, bling deccies).
Of course, I had a go on the tombola which was good fun.
Well done to the people at METAL, they’ve got an exciting programme of arts events coming up in 2010, follow the website to keep yourself informed.
