At lunchtime today this enormous banner was unveiled directly opposite the Council Office Municpal Building on Dale St. If you saw my earlier post about David Jacques ‘Irlam House Bequest‘ at the Walker (just a few minutes walk away) you will recognise that this is a companion piece and part of the Liverpool: City of Radicals year.
The lettering in the middle spells out The Great Money Trick 2011 which references a chapter in the book The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists by Robert Tressell who died in Liverpool 100 years ago.
There are more related events happening this week and throughout this ‘Radical’ year. Details will be on the City of Radicals website eventually.
