Our first visit here last Sunday and what a lovely place to spend a Sunday afternoon in Summer. It’s a 5 acre reserve adjacent to Bebington train station. 26 species of butterfly have been recorded here, we could hear many birds and the pond is full of wildlife including newts and dragonfly.
The sculpture trail of works by several local artists adds extra interest. We enjoyed following the trail, looking out for butterflies and listening to the birds singing. There are several apple trees too and a mobile allotment next to the old, restored caravan which acts as a Visitor Centre also housing more artwork as well as information about the park.
It’s open every Sunday 12-16.00 to the end of August 2011 or by appointment. See the website for full details
