Giant Spider Roams the Streets of Liverpool

spider-1.jpg

Like a scene from War of the Worlds the massive beast appears to be attacking Liverpool Town Hall but instead of fleeing for their lives the crowds just want to get closer.
Accompanied by musicians and with the Lord Mayor smiling and waving from the balcony La Princesse slowly made its way through the city centre.
It (and the crowd) got a good soaking in Derby Sq then at the top of Lord St it was covered in snow which makes it sleepy so (much to the disappointment of the people waiting in Church St.) it slept for and hour or so before moving on.

Schedule for Sunday:
15.00 The creature wakes up and is prepared for the evening’s entertainment.
16.00 The creature goes back to sleep.
19.30 Cherry-pickers and musicians arrive.
20.00 The creature is removed from the tower with a crane.
20.30 The convoy leaves the tower and parades to Queensway Tunnel entrance.
21.15 The creature tries to escape, but is prevented from doing so by the special
effect machines.
21.30 Finale at Queensway tunnel.
