The Buy Art Fair has opened in Manchester and continues until Sunday 31 October 2010. Vic Reeves was there yesterday showing his new art work with London gallery Eyestorm.
Vic’s work – as one would expect – is quirky, surreal and sometimes downright odd. Much of the artwork comes from a fictional world, telling a story behind the initial image.
Although the comedian (whose real name is Jim Moir) is mostly known for his television work with Bob Mortimer, most recently on Shooting Stars, he is also highly rated within the art world.
A fan of the city, when asked about exhibiting his work at Buy Art Fair, Vic said “You can’t keep me and my artwork away from Manchester, no sirree.”
