I don’t think I’ve been to an evening event at Sefton Park Palm House before, its a beautiful place and well suited to Alice’s jewellery which is inspired by nature, especially the plants, ferns and shells of New Zealand.
It was cooler than I expected, I’m sure it was always really hot when I used to go there in my youth but still a lot warmer than outside.
The Martin Smith Love Quartet were providing the live music and wine was provided by Purple Wine – none for me though as this out of town venue meant I was driving.
Alice normally works with silver but her latest creations include gold earrings, pendants and cuff links. She recently revisited New Zealand to collect more shells and plants for this special exhibition.
All very nice, if you don’t get a chance to visit you can see some of Alice’s work on her website
