This is an interesting exhibition of works from the massive Tate collection curated by members of Young Tate.

The process started in 2009 with several young members (aged 16-25) and Tate staff inolved along the way. It is part of the Youth Art Interchange Phase II, a European partnership project led by young people from four galleries across Europe.

I like the choice of works and enjoyed the statements that accompamy each work. I’ve seen quite a few of the works before but it’s always good to walk on some Carl Andre tiles and there’s also a couple of works being shown for the first time in the UK such as Rosângela Renno’s installation Experiencing Cinema which has projections of found images onto an intermittent steam curtain – interesting.

A Sense of Perspective. Curated by Young Tate. 1 April – 5 June 2011 in the Wolfson Gallery at Tate Liverpool.
